Scoring Tool - (Case of 6)
Scoring Tool - (Case of 6)
Our scoring tools are handmade in Alaska.
[Commonly referred to by its french name ‘lame’; Pron “lahm”, meaning ‘blade’]
A case contains 6 tools: 3 light-wood tools (maple or hickory), and 3 dark wood tools (cherry or walnut). Our woodcrafts are handmade by local artisans using the highest quality wood available at the time of crafting. For special requests; please email us: Contact@frontiersmansourdough.com
Our scoring tool provides a secure hold for the blade while covering sections that catch and tear dough on other lames. The small sleek design is compact, comfortable, and offers great control for detailed scoring artwork.
Every loaf of artisanal sourdough bread must be cut or ‘scored’ before going in the oven. This score allows for the loaf to rapidly rise in the oven, expanding at the cut(s) where intended.
Please note: Tool contains a double edged razor blade.
