Bread Lame
Bread Lame
Handcrafted in Alaska.
[Commonly referred to by its french name ‘lame’; Pron “lahm”, meaning ‘blade’]
Our tool provides a safe and secure hold for your scoring blade. The blade sheaths inside the handle, designed for safe storage. Gently Loosen the hardware to rotate the blade out, score dough, clean, and rotate back in. The small sleek design is compact, comfortable, and offers great control for detailed scoring artwork.
Every loaf of artisanal sourdough bread must be cut or ‘scored’ before going in the oven. This score allows for the loaf to rapidly rise in the oven, expanding at the cut(s) where intended.
Please note: Bread lame contains a double edged razor blade.
A portion of all profits at Frontiersman Sourdough are donated to environmental conservation in Alaska.
